Behind the scenes of ‘Elections Launch Live’, a short live show in February 2012 produced almost entirely by new members!
SUSUtv is the student run television station at the University of Southampton Students’ Union. We’re a team of students who work together to produce interesting, original and entertaining programmes – both on demand and live.
Our aim is to produce a wide range of shows aimed at our fellow students. This variety includes news, music and comedy, and goes all the way to sports, documentary and entertainment. If there is something awesome happening around the union, SUSUtv will be there to report. It’s easy to see us out and about these days in our bright green branding! Will you end up on camera?

We are a non-profit organisation that is one of the four official SUSU Media departments, and we also undertake commercial projects. Nationally, we are a member of the National Student Television Association (NaSTA), who every year lays on a huge Awards weekend which our members flock to!
In the past two years, we’ve won five national awards from NaSTA in the categories of Best Comedy, Station Marketing, Best Drama, Best Animation and Best Technical, making us one of the best and most experienced stations in the country.

Over 60 people took part in our annual ‘Lipdub’ video in 2012 – expect bigger and better in the future!
We are always looking for budding people to join in the student television making process – we think it’s a lot of fun! If this appeals to you, check out our Get Involved page!
Last but not least, SUSUtv is run by an annually elected committee. We are amongst the friendliest people on campus, and would love to hear any ideas, suggestions, questions or even just general banter you might have! Just click on the names below for a contact form.
Finally, there’s a whole tonne of content on our old website that we didn’t port over to this new site in September 2012. Browse the website here.
